Welgem's Cardigan Welsh Corgis are found just south of the Arctic Circle, at
Mile 929.8 on the Alaska Highway, just west of Whitehorse in the Yukon.Al & Lynn Alcock are the proud breeders of these wonderful
dogs and are pleased to say that we have always found excellent homes for our
pups all across North
America.
Our Cardigans have achieved many first milestones in
Canada's far north. The first tracking dogs as well as the first Cardigans in the Yukon
to achieve their Canadian Kennel Club titles. We have been blessed to have one of our puppies take Best
Puppy in Show, only one of a few Cardigans ever to have done so in Canada. Our
family is involved in many activities ranging from showing, tracking, agility,
obedience and pet therapy. A small dog with an attitude but with a heart
of gold and a temperament to go with it.
All our puppies are raised with a great deal of loving care and only
leave when we are satisfied that their well being will be assured and
that they're fit to travel to their new adopted home.
The history of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is rich with lore.
Cardis, as they are affectionately called, love to be part of
the family. Many Cardi owners have some very humorous stories of their
"kids" following them everywhere. We daily experience this lesson with
our ten guys. One can not go anywhere without being followed, no matter
WHERE you go, which includes even the washroom.
We are proud of our family and are always happy to share our
pictures and love of these wonderful dogs. They have filled our home
and hearts with happiness. There really is never a dull moment when you
have Cardi in your family.
